Team Building Workshops
The DHR Learning and Development Team utilizes the DiSC™ Behavioral Styles Assessment tool to provide two standard team building programs to help intact work teams communicate and collaborate effectively.
Building Better Teams with DiSC™
Participants learn about their own behavioral style(s) at work to better understand their communication preferences and to learn how to better flex to the styles of others. Each team member receives an individualized profile. Teams also have the option of obtaining a group cultural report, as well as customized reports for “power pairings” to help participants to apply the learning by talking through how they might flex to meet each other’s needs. This workshop is great for groups who would like a fun and useful retreat session. It is also a great strategy to help newly formed teams work together. For standard groups of 20 or less, Building Better Teams with DiSC™ can be delivered in a half-day format. Larger groups may require slightly more time. This program utilizes the Workplace DiSC assessment tool.
The 5 Behaviors of a Successful Team™
This program utilizes a team-building model popularized by Patrick Lencioni in the New York Times best selling book, “The Five Dysfuntions of a Team”. Participants take an assessment, which combines questions from the Everything DiSC assessment tool combined with team survey and a team culture questions. Participants receive individualized reports, and a team culture report. Participants then work through the Five Behaviors Model, which includes modules on trust, conflict, commitment, accountability and results. This workshop works best for teams that are ready for a deeper level of exploration to improve their teamwork and work more effectively together. This length of this program is customizable, depending on the goals of the group, and is generally one to two days in length.
Retreats and Strategic Planning
The Learning and Development Team typically utilizes half day program: Building Better Teams with DiSC™ as a standard program for team retreats, but we can provide additional team building activities for full day retreat. We also offer strategic planning services and can work with groups to develop mission, vision, values and long range goals.

- Approximately how many attendees do you anticipate?
- What is overall goal of your retreat of meeting?
- What specific results would you like to achieve by the end of the session or sessions?
- What is the timeline for the request to be completed?
