Essential functions of the position include:

  • Manage and provide technical leadership for software projects involving medium-scale, complex and highly analytical tasks.
  • Design, develop, and deliver web applications and web services with Visual Studio 2012+, C#, .NET 4.0+, ASP.Net MVC framework, JavaScript, and jQuery with knowledge of work-arounds needed for different browser variations.
  • Design relational data structures with data modelling tools like ERWin or other similar tool as an aid to application development. Write SQL, database stored procedures, triggers, and alter tables and data structures to optimize application performance and application partitioning.
  • Determine application options to determine build vs buy decisions to help the organization to operate more efficiently through use of technology.
  • Implement multi-step linear and parallel workflow solutions based on hierarchical employee-manager relationship using development tools and languages mentioned earlier.
  • Design and build prototypes, visual interfaces for demos of technical proposals and training of staff and eventually translate approved designs into production web-applications and web-services.
  • Determine proper installation procedures and parameters for software applications to deploy them on development, staging and production servers. Plan, participate and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures for supported systems.
  • Provide support to ensure rapid recovery from software or hardware problems for mission-critical applications. Support and troubleshoot operational issues, investigate and resolve incidents, as well as analyze and implement application requests and enhancements.
  • Act as liaison between vendors, technical support hot-lines and internal departments to resolve systems or network problems and assist in coordination and implement.
