DPH is in search of an entry-level network engineer to join our enterprise Network Team.

DPH’s Information Technology (IT) Department is responsible for supporting the information technology infrastructure for the acute, long term care, and healthcare clinics throughout San Francisco and on the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Laguna Honda Hospital campuses. The IT organization is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the mission of promoting and protecting the health of all San Franciscans.

DPH is in search of a responsible and hardworking technologist to join our team and help bring our network to the next level as an Assistant Information Systems Network Engineer. We are looking for help in all facets of our work on the network, including: implementation; maintenance; security; testing; documentation and developing enhancements to both the physical and logical components of the Department’s networks. Helpful Cisco experience would include: Routers, Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points, Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco UCS switches.

The incumbent will plan, implement, and maintain upgrades/updates/fixes for all network devices and their related components. This includes Cisco WLAN Controllers and access points, Cisco routers and switches, such as 6500 series, 4500 series, 3750, 3850/3650, and 3550 work group switches and Cisco ISE and Prime Infrastructure.
