The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission is in search of a Senior-level IT Engineer. SFPUC Information Technology Services (ITS) Department is responsible for supporting both Information Technology and Operational Technology Infrastructure that services over 2700 employees, over 24 remote sites, across seven counties. We are in search of an experienced, technical, responsible, dependable, hardworking senior engineer with customer service and leadership skills to join our team and help maintain the legacy control system while supporting our Wastewater enterprise next evolution in Critical Infrastructure. This candidate will be responsible for providing IT support to groups deploying and maintaining control systems and serve as a liaison between IT and the Wastewater organization. This position will perform and review complex work involving analysis, planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and enhancement of complex systems and/or networks in alignment with SFPUC recommended technology and guidelines. SFPUC’s Information Technology Services (ITS) Department is responsible for supporting SFPUC’s information technology infrastructure for over 2700 employees, over 24 remote sites, across seven counties. We are in search of an experienced, technical, responsible, dependable, hardworking principal engineer with leadership skills to join our team and help bring our network to the next level by providing supervision, guidance and direction to a team of six journey and senior level network engineers. This candidate will primary be responsible for providing technical leadership and direction and assumes technical responsibility for completion of major projects and serves as the top technical authority for one or more related specialties. This position will perform and review complex work involving analysis, planning, designing, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and enhancement of complex large systems or networks consisting of a combination that may include LANs, WANs, and the physical and logical components that integrate these systems together as an enterprise networking backbone. This position will be required to provide 24-hour on-call support to ensure rapid recovery for mission-critical networks.
