The two year Laborers’ apprenticeship program is for those with little or no experience in the construction trades who want to begin a career as a General Construction Craft Laborer for the City. It is a combination of work in the field and classroom instruction.

Apprentices learn to perform many of the types of construction such as pouring concrete and laying asphalt, and many safety-related duties such as flagging and traffic control. Graduates of approved City Build and the Glenn Eagles pre-apprenticeship programs are given priority over those who have not completed such a program.
