Independent Review of EEO Practices Published

Today, June 9, 2021, Mayor London N. Breed and Human Resources Director Carol Isen announced the release of the independent and comprehensive review by William B. Gould IV, Charles A. Beardsley Professor of Law, Emeritus, at the Stanford Law School, of the City’s equal employment opportunity policies and practices. Professor Gould’s review focuses on the City’s response to employee claims of workplace bias, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. The report identifies 19 findings regarding EEO policies and procedures and offers 57 recommendations to support EEO Division reforms.

San Francisco Recognizes Juneteenth

Today, following President Biden’s declaration of Juneteenth (June 19th) as a federal holiday, Mayor London Breed declared by proclamation for Juneteenth to be a recognized legal holiday for employees of the City and County of San Francisco. The City will observe the holiday tomorrow, June 18, 2021. Your department will advise you about reporting instructions as all city offices are required to remain open to the public.
